OUR INSTRUCTORS

  • is a local formally trained artist. Painting and chalk art are his preferences with a sound foundation in drawing. He has participated in workshops, street art, and charity art shows.

  • enjoys talking about and teaching all aspects of drawing at any skill level. He has a Bachelor of Fine Art in illustration and 3D design.

  • has enjoyed all medias of art. She has assisted at schools and previously taught art classes at the Carlsbad Museum. Lately she has enjoyed art using natural items around us.

  • is a mixed media artist who has taught art history and studio courses at Alvin Community College and New Mexico State University at Carlsbad. Her work has been exhibited at many galleries and museums including White Raven Gallery in Las Cruces, New Mexico and the Houston Center for Photography in Houston, Texas. She has been involved with both the arts and education for more than 20 years and is currently a member of the Carlsbad Area Art Association.

  • loves all things fiber arts and learned to crochet from her great-grandmother at 8 years old. She's been crocheting ever since, but really dove in after taking a class before starting graduate school 11 years ago. She enjoys passing on her crochet knowledge to others and helping them discover the joys of fiber arts. Recently she's dipped her toe into the crochet pattern writing pond. When not doing something crochet-related, she can be found reading, watching British tv shows, or working on learning another fiber art.

  • is a mixed media artist with experience in art and theatre education. She has a Bachelor in Fine Art in theatre with focus on design and technical aspects with a minor in art. She strongly believes everyone is an artist and art is for everyone. While our worlds my be different, art has amazing healing power we all can utilize.
