Our NSTRUCTORS
-
I am a local elementary music teacher, A.K.A. Mr. Bradley, at Sunset Elementary and Monterrey Elementary. I assist with the high school drumline, and have a Bachelors of Arts in music from Humboldt State University. I play in local bands and have over 25 years of experience playing music.
-
My name is Mike Campos I am a local artist with many years of formal training my primary focus is teaching art from still life drawing to fantasy art painting in acrylic paint.
-
As a self taught artist, manga and anime has inspired me the most. I’d like to help others realize and feel confident in their own artistic ability.
-
I love all things fiber arts and learned crochet from my great-grandmother when I was 8 years old. I have been crocheting ever since, but really dove in after taking a class before starting graduate school 12 years ago. I enjoy passing on my crochet knowledge to others and helping them discover the joys of fiber arts. Recently I dipped my toe into the crochet pattern writing pond. When I am not doing something crochet-related, I can be found reading, watching British TV shows, or working on learning another fiber art.
-
I am a sixth generation native of Southeastern New Mexico. I started Theoma Studio in 2018 to create brand identity, logos, and websites for food trucks, authors, medical providers, musicians, podcasts, breweries, museums, nonprofits and more! In 2021, my passion for history and art brought me to Carlsbad Museum, where I serve as the graphic designer and city historian.
Part of my studio work focuses on Custom Built Typefaces. Join me in my 2024 Art Academy classes as I teach my technique to hand-draw and digitize a font with “Creating Fonts: From Pencil To Pixels”!
-
I am a mixed artist with a passion for watercolor, collage, and embroidery. With experience teaching art and theatre, I have a Bachelor in Fine Art in theatre with a focus on design and technical aspects with a minor in art and am currently working towards a Masters of Art Education. I believe everyone is an artist and a maker. It is good for you, good for your brain, and regulating emotions. Whether shared or not, art is a way to express our thoughts, ideas, feelings, things that we otherwise might have an outlet. While our worlds by be different, art has amazing healing power we all can utilize.
