Recology is a San Francisco waste management service that truly believes in the role that art plays in educating and inspiring the public. As a result, Recology has established a program known as the Recology Artist in Residence (AIR) to provide artists from diverse backgrounds the unique opportunity to recycle and reclaim discarded waste as reclaimed art objects. This exhibition showcases the work of thirty three artists who were awarded with the space, financial support, and four months to produce artworks that speak to the past, the present, and the future.
